Portrait and Social Photography - Experience

Having a portrait taken can be a stressful experience, especially if the whole family are present!. Hopefully the information given here should help you feel more comfortable about how the service works. Please be assured that we take a very personal approach to all our clients and will phone you at a time convenient to you, to discuss every tiny detail.

Unlike many other photography services we will take the photos at a location specified by you. In the majority of cases this will be in your own home. We find that people are often more relaxed in a familiar environment. If you want the images taken outside, this is equally possible.

Booking

How to go about booking our services

To book a social photography session you will first need to contact us. We will check availability for the date you have requested and then, assuming we are available, send you a booking form.

  1. You will need to fill in and return the booking form giving as much detail as possible.
  2. With the booking form you will receive details of all our packages, as well as all the additional options you may require.
  3. We are happy to discuss any arrangements with you at this stage, especially if you are unsure of anything.
  4. On receipt of the booking form we will generate a booking specification and invoice.
  5. You will need to check the booking specification (This can be changed at a later date) and assuming you are happy with the package send us your deposit to secure the booking.
  6. We will contact you to discuss any minor details and arrange the finalities of the day.

Reviewing

Once your pictures are ready

After the session we will set about preparing your review package. This will include online previews of all the images taken on at the session, a set of SecureView Cards for you to send to friends and family and dependant on your package, preview prints, album or CD. We will also include a selection form tailored to your booking. This will need to be completed and returned so we can prepare your additions, such as an album if you have selected one.

  1. We will send you your preview package as soon as it is available. You are then free to review the images in your own time.
  2. If you want to give friends and family access to your SecureView area simply send them a SecureView card. They will be able to buy images directly from the site.
  3. You will need to return your selection form which will inform us of which images you require for the package you booked. For example the images you would like in your album (If you ordered one.)
  4. You are free to order as many additions at this point as you require. We will send you an order form for this purpose.

Whats it mean?

Q. How long does it take to get the previews back?
A. Depending on the season it can take up to 3 weeks, we usually have the online previews ready in a few days however.

Q. What happens if something goes wrong?
A. Niall Edwards Photography will do everything in its power to ensure that all problems are thought out and covered.

Q. If I have any questions before the session can I contact someone?
A. We actively encourage this. You will be given a mobile phone number for the photographer. You are free to contact them whenever you want.

Q. Will all of this be discussed with me before I commit to the booking?
A. We will do anything we can to make you comfortable and confident that your session is organised, planned and above all, right for you.
