Commissioned Photography - Experience

A commission through Niall Edwards Photography is one way you can ensure that you get exactly the image you need. The information provided should answer some of your questions about setting a commission:

Booking

To book a commission through Niall Edwards Photography you first need to decide what you want to achieve. when you have a specification of the image you want contact us.

  1. We will review the specification you provide and begin to build a brief from your information. If we need to know more we will contact you.
  2. We will send you a commission contract that will include information on how long the commission will take, a break down of costs and a detailed description of what the image will look like.
  3. If you are happy with the contract you will sign and return it with a 50% deposit.
  4. On receipt of this we will set about completing your commission, keeping you informed along the way.

Reviewing

Once your commission is complete you will need to chose which of the available images is the one you want.

  1. We will send you a set of watermarked 5" x 4" preview prints. You will also be sent a username and password which will give you access to the online viewing facility and an order form for prints.
  2. You will also receive an invoice for the balance of the commission charges.
  3. You then have as much time as you need to review the images and select your favourite(s).

Ordering

Once you have chosen your image(s) you will need to return the order form sent with your preview prints, having filled in the print reference number(s) and any options.

  1. The form should be returned with a cheque for payment of the order.
  2. The prints will be dispatched by recorded delivery once the payment has cleared.
  3. You can order prints directly from the online viewing facility using your credit or debit card. If you require a frame or any additional options however you will need to order by post using the order form.
  4. Should you wish to order any additional prints in the future simply contact us and we will gladly send you an order form, alternatively you can download one here .

Questions

Q. Can I use the images provided for commercial purposes?
A. No. You must use the Corporate Service if you wish to have a re-use licence for the images.

Q. How long do commissions take?
A. Dependant on the nature of your commission, they can take anywhere form a few hours to several days.

Q. Are there any additional costs over those shown on the prices page?
A. There could be other charges that we will need to pass on to you, in this event they will be detailed on your commission contract and you can review them before proceeding.
